The opening reception for Sean Hamilton's solo exhibition 'Idaho' was a great succes! Sean was in attendance from Seattle along with many friends of the gallery, collectors and neighbors in our wonderful new Arts District gallery space.

Sean's new body of work explores moments of nostalgia and reflection on his childhood growing up in Priest River, Idaho. The artist sheds light on the rural town, creating picturesque paintings of destruction derbys, county fairs, logging trucks and nascar fights. Sean also utilized the Library of Congress to find imagery from 1930's rural Idaho. These images were then translated into his paintings, using a monochromatic wash to really set the mood of the work.

Sean Hamilton's solo show will be on view unitl December 31st during regular gallery hours. For inquiries on available work or to learn more about the artist, please contact vanessa@goodmothergallery.com
