Cosmas and Damian Brown

Cosmas and Damian Brown was born in Paris, France and grew up primarily in Oaxaca, Mexico. After attending high school in England, Brown moved to Los Angeles, California, where he began his formation as a professional artist. Brown has worked in various fields, including landscaping, scenic painting, construction, design, as well as professional assistant to various artists, all of which have had a lasting impact on his creative output. Brown studied Art in Los Angeles, and earned a BA in Fine Art at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) in 2016. His interest in mechanics led him to study Motorcycle Mechanics at Los Angeles Trade Technical College. Cosmas' interest in culture and myth, which began in early childhood, has pushed him to travel extensively, gathering inspiration and technical ability, which, directly or indirectly, find their way into his own work. Brown has attended various residencies internationally, and has exhibited in Mexico and the U.S. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, Ca.
