Good Mother Gallery is pleased to present All Things Equal, the latest edition of the MFAs of LA series, curated by Leslie Fram. Bringing together an extraordinary selection of emerging artists from the top fine arts graduate programs in Greater Los Angeles, this exhibition features MFA candidates from ArtCenter, CalArts, Laguna College of Art and Design, OTIS College of Art and Design, UC Irvine, UCLA, UC Riverside, USC Roski, Claremont Graduate University, UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego.
All Things Equal reimagines the traditional exhibition, using a unique structure that adopts a standardized approach to both size and price, consequently highlighting the core of each artist’s vision. By removing these typical barriers that often surround acquiring contemporary art, the result is an egalitarian model that encourages deeper engagement with the art itself. All Things Equal allows the respective works of these 25 talented MFAs of LA to stand on their own as they express themselves in a variety of mediums and genres. And it offers an accessible entry point for new and established collectors.
This democratic approach to showcasing emerging talent opens the door to a more inclusive dialogue between artists, collectors, and the wider community.
