COMFORT Magazine Proudly Presents ELK: An Experimental Documentary, Exhibition, and Book in association with and adidas Originals. ELK is an experimental documentary that follows five graffiti writers on a 4,800-mile journey through the heartland of America. This immersive film and book chronicle the writers' odyssey as they maneuver train yards, alleys, and unexpected encounters, culminating in a pivotal moment that could have altered their lives forever. This project marks the launch of COMFORT magazine's publishing fellowship, an initiative to nurture and realize monographs for artists. In addition, COMFORT Magazine partnered with Los Angeles-based furniture studio Snyder DePass to create a custom series of adidas inspired benches exclusively for the film exhibition.
ELK will debut at Good Mother Gallery from May 5th to May 30th, with a opening reception on May 4th. The film will have four showtimes daily until the exhibition closes.

In LA, a crew of degenerates load spray paint into a van, embarking on a 4,800-mile journey through America's heartland. From Phoenix's scorching streets to Detroit's urban decay and Milwaukee's gritty vibe, they navigate encounters with a gun-toting homeless man and a shady underworld figure. Their adventure takes a reflective turn after a pivotal moment, leading them to ponder the deeper meaning of their experiences and culminating in an ending that mirrors their unconventional journey.
