Haniko Zahra
Haniko Zahra (b. 1989, Tehran, Iran; working in Los Angeles) transforms societal, cultural, and personal constraints into intimate and universal paintings. Her work centers on vulnerability, resilience, and the tension between freedom and uncertainty. Through textured brushwork and expressive compositions, Zahra explores human agency- often using naked female figures and domesticated animals- to challenge norms, embrace imperfection, and invite deep introspection.
